Halloween Witch Scene

Hello there, Kathy here for Crafty Creations Challenges.  I have chosen this cute little witch scene from Bugaboo Stamps who just happens to be our sponsor for Challenge #350.

When I seen this image, I knew I wanted to create a night scene. First I took a piece of water color paper and masked off a large circle for the moon.  I inked the background using Tim Holtz Distress inks, in Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Black Soot.  Then I cut a a hillside using the Stitched Hillside border and grassy border from Lawn Fawn.  I inked them up with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss and Black Soot.  Then I distressed each piece with the Distress Spray Bottle.  Once I finished distressing the background and ground, I watered down the moon and added some Antique Linen, Squeezed Lemonade and very water downed Black Soot to create my moon.

After creating the background I colored the images with various Copic markers.  Then I did some fuzzy cutting.  Yes that's right I cut each piece out.  I DO NOT LIKE FUSSY CUTTING.  In fact I hate it, but I knew what I wanted and how I wanted my scene to look so I just decided to do it and really it wasn't that bad at all.

I embellished the windows with Wink of Stella and added some Black Glaze Pen to the eyes and the fence trim under the window on the house.

I glued the hillside border down then I glued the house and witch down.  After adding all the images I popped up the grassy border right in front of the fence she is sitting on.

I really like the way this turned out and I hope you do too.  I love fall and Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you come on over to Crafty Creations Challenges and join in on Challenge 350.  We would love to have you play along with us.

Hugs,
Kathy

You're tea-riffic

I am so pleased to be Guest Designing for 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store.  Kelly has some really cool stuff to choose from.

I am using this adorable little stamp from LDRS's Polka Doodles, called TeaRiffic.  Isn't she as cute as she can be with her little tea pot on her tray.  The quality in these stamps are wonderful.

I stamped the image onto Copic Blending Card.  Then colored her using my copic markers.

Background:  RV95, 93 & 91

Skin:  E04, 11, 21, 00, 000
Checks: E93 & 95
Hair:  E57, 37,  49, 35 & 30
Dress and Tea Pot:  G00, 000, 0000 & BG34
Flower:  E35, YR24, Y21, RV29, 25, 23 & 21, YG 67, 63 & G21
Grays:  N4, 2, 1 & 0
Shoes N8, 6 & 4

After coloring her I cut the image out using an oval die.  I added some color using distress inks onto the chipboard tea pot and cups from Wycinanka in Kelly's store.  Then I started layering onto a 6x6 card base, some of the gorgeous Tea Party papers from LRDS.   Added some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers from Kelly.

Once everything was layered, I added a little Wink of Stella for sparkle and some texture paste for texture.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I inspired you.  Go on over and join in at the 7 Kids Crafting Store challenge.  Visit the store while you are there.  Kelly really has so much awesome stuff to choose from and her Customer Service is out of this world.

Thanks Kelly for allowing me to Guest Design this month, I had a blast.

Hugs,
Kathy

All Dressed up...

Hi there, I have a Halloween card to share with you today.  I created this card for the September monthly Challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  As always the theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.

I decided on this cute little image from Northwoods Stamps.  It is called Sassy Halloween Legs.  I love witch boots and their skinny legs.  So when I seen this little stamp I just had to grab it.

I colored the image up with my Copic Markers.  After I was finished, I just felt like it needed a little something else, so I added some Nuvo Crystal drops, but I think I may have added way too many.

I also added some other embellishments like Stickles Diamond Dust and some glitter I acquired from Stampin Up.

Then I had some Halloween ribbon in my stash that I bought last year from Michael's Craft Stores.  I did not have very much, so I had to make a small bow.  Using my Craft-Dee BowZ tool, I was able to make the perfect size bow.  If you have not gotten yourself one of these awesome bow makers you really should.  They are so awesome.  You can find one here.

Thanks for stopping by today.   I really hope I have inspired you.  Please don't hesitate to come on over and join in with us for our Monthly Challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Hugs,
Kathy

Happy Happy Happy

I have a card to share with you today. Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge has started their new challenge and  our Sponsor for the month of September is Bugaboo Stamps.  For my creation, I created this cute little card using Brat Cupcake Wagon and can be found here, as always our theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade bow.

One of my Great-Nieces has a birthday coming up and this little brat kidz reminded me of her.  Since she is turning 6 I wanted to create something fun and would catch her little eye so I decided on a shaker card.

I colored the image using various Copic Markers.  Then I used some Distress Oxide Inks to blend the background and spritzed it with water.  I used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn and die cut some circles to make the balloons which was used to make the shaker.

I made a bow using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool. This tool is so awesome. If you don't have one, you can get one here

Sentiment and Die: Happy, Happy, Happy from Lawn Fawn
Misc. Dies:  Circle dies from Cottage Cutz to make the balloons.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you today.

Hugs,
Kathy
